Al-Mutaffifin 1
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾
Waylun lilmutaffifeena
Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)], The Noble Quran
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾
Waylun lilmutaffifeena
Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)], The Noble Quran
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾
Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona
Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, The Noble Quran
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾
Waitha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona
And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. The Noble Quran
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾
Ala yathunnu olaika annahum mabAAoothoona
Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning), The Noble Quran
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٥﴾
Liyawmin AAatheemin
On a Great Day, The Noble Quran
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾
Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena
The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? The Noble Quran
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ ﴿٧﴾
Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin
Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. The Noble Quran
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ ﴿٨﴾
Wama adraka ma sijjeenun
And what will make you know what Sijjin is? The Noble Quran
كِتَٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٩﴾
Kitabun marqoomun
A Register inscribed. The Noble Quran
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
Woe, that Day, to those who deny [(Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)]. The Noble Quran
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾
Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni
Those who deny the Day of Recompense. The Noble Quran
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾
Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin
And none can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, (in disbelief, oppression and disobedience of Allah, the sinner!) The Noble Quran
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾
Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru alawwaleena
When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" The Noble Quran
كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona
Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. The Noble Quran
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawmaithin lamahjooboona
Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. The Noble Quran
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾
Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi
Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. The Noble Quran
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!" The Noble Quran
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾
Kalla inna kitaba alabrari lafee AAilliyyeena
Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun. The Noble Quran
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾
Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona
And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is? The Noble Quran
كِتَٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٢٠﴾
Kitabun marqoomun
A Register inscribed. The Noble Quran
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona
To which bear witness those nearest (to Allah, i.e. the angels). The Noble Quran
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin
Verily, Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil) will be in delight (Paradise). The Noble Quran
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
AAala alaraiki yanthuroona
On thrones, looking (at all things). The Noble Quran
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٢٤﴾
TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi
You will recognise in their faces the brightness of delight. The Noble Quran
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾
Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin
They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. The Noble Quran
خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾
Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona
The last thereof (that wine) will be the smell of musk, and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allah). The Noble Quran
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾
Wamizajuhu min tasneemin
It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. The Noble Quran
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾
AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona
A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. The Noble Quran
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾
Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona
Verily! (During the worldly life) those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. The Noble Quran
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾
Waitha marroo bihim yataghamazoona
And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery); The Noble Quran
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
Waitha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena
And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting; The Noble Quran
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾
Waitha raawhum qaloo inna haolai ladalloona
And when they saw them, they said: "Verily! These have indeed gone astray!" The Noble Quran
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena
But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers). The Noble Quran
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾
Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona
But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers The Noble Quran
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
AAala alaraiki yanthuroona
On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). The Noble Quran
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona
Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? The Noble Quran
