Al-Ghaashiya 1
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ ﴿١﴾
Hal ataka hadeethu alghashiyati
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 2
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ﴿٢﴾
Wujoohun yawmaithin khashiAAatun
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 3
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ﴿٣﴾
AAamilatun nasibatun
Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 4
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً ﴿٤﴾
Tasla naran hamiyatan
They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 5
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ ﴿٥﴾
Tusqa min AAaynin aniyatin
They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 6
لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ ﴿٦﴾
Laysa lahum taAAamun illa min dareeAAin
No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 7
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍ ﴿٧﴾
La yusminu wala yughnee min jooAAin
Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 8
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ﴿٨﴾
Wujoohun yawmaithin naAAimatun
(Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 9
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ﴿٩﴾
LisaAAyiha radiyatun
Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 10
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ﴿١٠﴾
Fee jannatin AAaliyatin
In a lofty Paradise. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 11
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةً ﴿١١﴾
La tasmaAAu feeha laghiyatan
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 12
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ ﴿١٢﴾
Feeha AAaynun jariyatun
Therein will be a running spring, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 13
فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ ﴿١٣﴾
Feeha sururun marfooAAatun
Therein will be thrones raised high, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 14
وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ ﴿١٤﴾
Waakwabun mawdooAAatun
And cups set at hand. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 15
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ ﴿١٥﴾
Wanamariqu masfoofatun
And cushions set in rows, The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 16
وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ﴿١٦﴾
Wazarabiyyu mabthoothatun
And rich carpets (all) spread out. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 17
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ﴿١٧﴾
Afala yanthuroona ila alibili kayfa khuliqat
Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 18
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ﴿١٨﴾
Waila alssamai kayfa rufiAAat
And at the heaven, how it is raised? The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 19
وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ﴿١٩﴾
Waila aljibali kayfa nusibat
And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 20
وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ﴿٢٠﴾
Waila alardi kayfa sutihat
And at the earth, how it is spread out? The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 21
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ﴿٢١﴾
Fathakkir innama anta muthakkirun
So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 22
لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
Lasta AAalayhim bimusaytirin
You are not a dictator over them. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 23
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ﴿٢٣﴾
Illa man tawalla wakafara
Save the one who turns away and disbelieves The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 24
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ﴿٢٤﴾
FayuAAaththibuhu Allahu alAAathaba alakbara
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 25
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ﴿٢٥﴾
Inna ilayna iyabahum
Verily, to Us will be their return; The Noble Quran
Al-Ghaashiya 26
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم ﴿٢٦﴾
Thumma inna AAalayna hisabahum
Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. The Noble Quran
