Al-A'laa 1
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ﴿١﴾
Sabbihi isma rabbika alaAAla
Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, The Noble Quran
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ﴿١﴾
Sabbihi isma rabbika alaAAla
Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, The Noble Quran
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾
Allathee khalaqa fasawwa
Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; The Noble Quran
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٣﴾
Waallathee qaddara fahada
And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); The Noble Quran
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ ﴿٤﴾
Waallathee akhraja almarAAa
And Who brings out the pasturage, The Noble Quran
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ ﴿٥﴾
FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa
And then makes it dark stubble. The Noble Quran
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ﴿٦﴾
Sanuqrioka fala tansa
We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), The Noble Quran
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ﴿٧﴾
Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa
Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. The Noble Quran
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ﴿٨﴾
Wanuyassiruka lilyusra
And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). The Noble Quran
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ﴿٩﴾
Fathakkir in nafaAAati alththikra
Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). The Noble Quran
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾
Sayaththakkaru man yakhsha
The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), The Noble Quran
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ﴿١١﴾
Wayatajannabuha alashqa
But it will be avoided by the wretched, The Noble Quran
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾
Allathee yasla alnnara alkubra
Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, The Noble Quran
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾
Thumma la yamootu feeha wala yahya
Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). The Noble Quran
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾
Qad aflaha man tazakka
Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, The Noble Quran
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ﴿١٥﴾
Wathakara isma rabbihi fasalla
And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). The Noble Quran
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ﴿١٦﴾
Bal tuthiroona alhayata alddunya
Nay, you prefer the life of this world; The Noble Quran
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ﴿١٧﴾
Waalakhiratu khayrun waabqa
Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. The Noble Quran
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ﴿١٨﴾
Inna hatha lafee alssuhufi aloola
Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, The Noble Quran
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾
Suhufi ibraheema wamoosa
The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). The Noble Quran
